Blue Christmas

Messages of comfort and joy and a mood of celebration seem to abound wherever you are at this time of year. But for many people, Christmas can be a “blue” time. Some of us have lost loved ones this year, or carry a loss from the past that is particularly painful at this time of year. Some have lost jobs or marriages; some feel isolated or alone; some simply grieve a time in their lives when things seemed “better.”

In gentle song, music, poetry, prayer, silence, and the lighting of candles, our “Blue Christmas” service honors those feelings. Without judgment or expectations, we offer a safe space for quiet worship with others who understand how difficult this holiday can sometimes be.
You are welcome whatever your religious beliefs may be. You are welcome if you have none. Whether you are a churchgoer or not, we invite you to join us - to find some comfort and community with us the day before Christmas eve, at the Foxboro Universalist Church.

Candlelight Christmas Eve Service
On December 24th we will offer our Candlelight Christmas Eve Service.  Come to reflect on the Christmas story through traditional readings, contemporary stories and the singing of timeless carols.
This is an intergenerational service; all ages are welcome to join us in celebration of the holiday season.
