Social Action
One of the principles of Unitarian Universalism is "to affirm and promote the goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all." Since the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) was formed in 1961, Unitarian Universalists (UUs) have passed more than 80 resolutions to support peace and disarmament. UUs observe these resolutions and their principles to promote peace through their daily actions.
During this year our Social Justice efforts have been towards adopting the 8th Principle and widening the circle within our own congregation. Throughout the year we have supported various efforts within the community.

The Foxborough Unitarian Universalist church is known for serving the community through social action and a variety of drives and donations. Some of these include the Foxborough Discretionary Fund, the Mansfield West Side Benevolent Circle, Foxborough and Mansfield Annual Clean Up Days, Foxborough and Mansfield Food Pantries, and Father Bill's and MainSpring House.
Peace Vigil
We welcome everyone to join us outside the Foxborough Universalist Church for our monthly peace vigil. The vigil is held on the first Thursday of every month from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM. We have plenty of signs to share that express our desires for peace and encourage passersby to “Honk for Peace”, which many do with great enthusiasm! Stay as long or short as your schedule allows. We hope to awaken a desire for a peaceful world in those that cross our path and inspire all to work together to achieve a harmonious planet.
